The main objective of the project, conceived by a group of young Sicilians, is the development of a web platform to support sustainable mobility through the dynamic carpooling system.
The intervention is located in the city of Palermo with the objective of sensibly reducing citizen traffic and elevated noise and atmospheric pollution, through a new means of transport (carpooling) which consists in the sharing of private automobiles among a group of people with the main aim of reducing transport costs.
This platform focuses on making the passage offered to passengers by the driver simple, secure and immediate.
Among the advantages of Carpooling: reducing CO2 emissions, reducing traffic in the city, the possibility of meeting new people, and encouraging links among several inhabited centres which present mobility problems.
An enormous advantage for the community, for public administrations and especially for the environment.
