Progetto SMART (SMARt lighTing)

Code PON04a3_00402
Field/s Energy, Social innovation
Description The SMART (SMARt LighTing) project is focused on optimal management of public lighting and urban viability. In detail, the SMART research project proposes to create a system of monitoring whose objectives concern: a. the reduction of energetic consumption deriving from incorrect use of the public lighting system; b. the optimisation of urban viability; c. The extension of citizen data networks (Internet, sensors and infomobility) To reach the objectives described above, we propose to create a prototype which makes use of "intelligent" public lighting poles. The "intelligent pole" will be capable of guaranteeing constant control of the lighting flow with the aim of obtaining a significant reduction in energy consumption, guaranteeing at the same time in complete autonomy optimal lighting in any traffic conditions, ambient lighting and weather conditions.
