Digital Pattern Product Development: Un approccio Pattern based per l’impostazione, la progettazione, la simulazione e la produzione del prodotto industriale

Description The objective of the project is to study, define and realize new methodologies and, consequently, new solutions in order to enhance quality, speed up and reduce product/process development costs. The methodologies/solutions are built on Digital pattern concept. The Digital Pattern is a meta-structure that contains: project and processes models, links to company data useful in the development of specific task for crossing impact evaluation and multidisciplinary and interfunctional methodological aspects that enable the transverse usage related to the phase and to system/subsystem to be developed. The project outputs in short are: Design and Manufacturing Digital Patterns, Decision Support Systems integrated in the Digital Patterns, Data structures Management Systems containing the Corporate Knowledge, the solutions, etc. The major benefits deriving from this system are: on line/embedded implicit/explicit knowledge, solutions reuse, applied successfully validated solutions concerining feasibility, performances, costs, lesson learned smart evaluations The pattern based solution consists of integration and extension of the current project techniques and methodologies parametric/associative in a rinnovate way in order to reduce the operative time, without renounce to the output quality in terms of company results: products characterized by custom oriented performances and low costs. This represents a breakthrough opportunity to respond to company TTM reduction requirement increasing, in the meantime, product quality and reducing modifications and adaptation costs. This new vision requires to rethink the design approach, the designer role, the technician role and development processes because the traditional approaches appear critical It’s necessary to have at hand company solutions , performances and costs impacts and move from the vertical level to that extended to the total amount of company processes. In brief an interconnected digital system of product/process development. The innovation aims therefore to reengineer the whole development system pursuing the digital pattern usage (looking after the technical and technological patterns in an integrated strategy) containing processes inside, the company historical expertise and methodologies in order to enable the reuse of engineering contents It’s, therefore, a relevant evolution able to determine an high contribute to development process innovation.
