Description The strong variability of the source energy collides with the need for constant power output, for the design of facilities and for dispacciabilità prodotta.Una energy efficient solution to this problem is offered by the characteristics of CSP plants. In this project, we propose a energy storage in solid materials, located in the individual receivers of concentrated radiation, placed on towers from low-impact landscaping. The storage system located in the receiver will be studied with different prototypes, each of which is aimed at improving a characteristic of the receiver: low cost, high thermal conductivity, high storage capacity, simple construction, design free accumulation. This will be achieved by focusing on different solutions for the realization of material that acts as accumulator termico.L 'basic element of the type of system proposed in this project is the unit of solar generation (UGS). Each UGS includes: a field of mirrors (heliostats) to receive and concentration of solar radiation, with its control system, a tower no more than 25-30 m, which has a "cell". This project therefore aims to achieve an innovative solar thermal power plant, declined in different configurations: power plant, microimplants, integrated plant with fossil fuel power stations. The versatility of the proposed technology constitutes a significant strength. Also, the use of materials not classified as toxic or hazardous it can be used in Italy without the limitation to the industrial areas planned for other types of systems such as those with heat transfer oils and molten salts. The most notable feature is a high expected return (estimated at approx. 20%) in converting solar energy into electricity by collecting the appropriate fields of mirrors, with generation costs competitive.
